During our research for the new Communicator app, a common theme emerged among our employees and customers: they were frustrated by how complicated most collaboration tools were to navigate.
We tackled this issue with a large-scale update to the app. Our goal was to redesign Communicator so all communications would live within one platform and make it easier than ever to use.

Many employees commented on how difficult collaboration tools were to use and how this slowed them down at work. To solve this, Communicator’s interface was reworked so you have everything you need to collaborate more efficiently, all within one easy-to-use platform.

Simpler to navigate
Several employees bemoaned the complexity of other collaboration tools, so the new Communicator has been streamlined to give you the best user experience possible. Even if you’re not a technology wiz, you’ll be able to easily use the new Communicator.

Enhanced video experience
Most of our employees listed a well-rounded video experience at the top of their list for features desired in a successful collaboration tool. And even more cited a “poor video experience” as a huge deterrent for choosing other collaboration tools. The new Communicator embraces the video-first work environment and makes it simple for anyone to host or schedule a video meeting in advance.
Communicator’s been updated to allow for stable and secure video calling, plus the ability to host more users. Now, 50 simultaneous users can join a meeting and even more can join as callers.

Easy to switch from chat to video
Many employees found it annoying to have to constantly switch between different platforms to do their work. Communicator solved this problem by allowing users to easily transfer between different modes of communication right from the same window.
