Privacy Policy

Last updated February 2021 to provide additional disclosures about the collection, use and sharing of information.

This Privacy Policy applies to Syndeo LLC, dba Broadvoice (“Broadvoice”), PhonePower, and DSL Extreme and is designed to help you understand how we collect and use information about you when you visit our website, request information, subscribe to and use our services.

The Types of Information We Collect About You

When you inquire about service, create an account with us, request information, or provide feedback, we may collect information including but not limited to your name, company name, address and contact information, such as email address, phone number, credit and payment information in order to service your account and act upon your feedback or issues.

As a customer of Broadvoice and its affiliated brands, we may automatically collect information through the use of the service including but not limited to IP address, geolocation information, calling records, voicemails and transcripts, and contact information used in call routing.

Collection / Use of Information

Broadvoice may collect and use subscriber identifiable information for billing, provisioning of service, resolution of problems associated with service, 411 type directory services, 911 emergency service, demographic data, and to inform subscribers of new products or services that will enhance their Broadvoice experience. Broadvoice may use subscriber identifiable information to market new products and services to the subscriber and to any channel partner that may have knowledge of the subscriber’s services with Broadvoice. If a subscriber chooses, and notifies Broadvoice in writing, not to participate in direct marketing of new products and services from Broadvoice then subscriber’s information will not be used for the purpose of marketing new products. Users may email compliance@broadvoice.com in order to opt-of direct marketing communications or use the unsubscribe feature provided on all email communications.

Broadvoice also may use subscriber identifiable information to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity or activities that threaten the integrity of service, the network integrity, that otherwise violate Broadvoice’s Service Agreements or activities that are or may be illegal.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information

Broadvoice will not trade, sell, or disclose to any third party any form of subscriber identifiable information for purposes of marketing to the subscriber without the consent of the subscriber. This includes information derived from registration, subscription, and use of Broadvoice’s service.

Broadvoice may disclose subscriber identifiable information as required by subpoena, search warrant or other legal process or in the case where failure to disclose information will lead to imminent harm to the subscriber or others.

Also, in the event Broadvoice or substantially all of its assets were acquired, your information would be transferred along with other business assets as permitted by law.

We may also disclose information we have collected about you with unaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by Broadvoice to a third party, if any, for a third party’s direct marketing purposes once per calendar year. If applicable, this information would include the categories of information and the names and addresses of businesses with which we shared information in the prior calendar year. To make such a request, please send an email compliance@broadvoice.com or a letter to Broadvoice Compliance, 9221 Corbin Ave, Suite 155, Northridge, CA 91321. with “Request for California Privacy Information” in the subject line or body of the email or letter.

Security

Although Broadvoice has invested and deployed a wide variety of technology and security features to ensure the privacy of subscriber information on its network, security can never be assured. Broadvoice has implemented strict operations guidelines to ensure subscriber privacy is safeguarded. Broadvoice will continue to revise policies and implement additional security features as new technologies become available. However, no information transmission over the Internet is 100 percent secure. Broadvoice cannot guarantee in any way that information provided to Broadvoice by subscriber may not be illegally obtained from Broadvoice.

Content of Communications

Broadvoice will not read, listen to or disclose to any third parties private e-mail, voice conversations, or other communications that are transmitted using Broadvoice services, except as required to ensure proper operation of services or as otherwise authorized by law.

Account Information

The subscriber is responsible for ensuring that the information on file with Broadvoice is current and accurate. Subscribers may update the information they have on file through the Broadvoice portal or contacting our customer service department through chat, phone or submitting a ticket online at Broadvoice.com/contact-us/.

Children’s Privacy Policy

Broadvoice does not sell products or services for purchase or use by children. Broadvoice does not knowingly solicit or collect subscriber identifiable information from children or teenagers under the age of eighteen. In addition, Broadvoice will not knowingly link to any third–party web site that solicits or collects subscriber identifiable information from minors. If you believe that a minor has disclosed personally identifiable information to Broadvoice, please contact Broadvoice at compliance@broadvoice.com so that the information can be removed.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
